Adopted as a toddler, philanthropist Nikki Stallion-Brewer knows firsthand the love, support and need for family. So this year, to celebrate adoption and help give orphan children the opportunity to experience the love and support she was granted by adoption, Nikki is celebrating her birthday with an open invitation benefit for Room for One More Child! Nikki Stallion Brewer’s Birthday Celebration will include a Runway fashion show and silent auction of the designs of Turya Nations, Creator of Designer clothing brand Guy Baxter. Tickets will be sold to this awesome event, and all proceeds will go to Room for One More Child to give financial gifts to families working to pay for the high cost of adoption and bring their children home. What a fun way to celebrate a birthday and help give orphan children the homes they so truly deserve!! We could not be more honored to be part of Nikki’s celebration as she remembers each year given to her as a child adopted into a forever loving home. Nikki’s story is one we are privileged to be sharing.
In 1973, the mayor of BooChun City in South Korea found an unexpected package on his doorstep. Young “Yoon So La” (later to be Nikki Stallion Brewer) was left to be found, so she could have a life better than the one her biological mother thought she could give her.
Nikki was placed in two different foster homes and says, "I don’t remember any of my life in Korea, but looking at the records of my adoption I realize even as a child less than two years old, I had a growing personality, I had habits and loves. My adoptive parents -- my Mom and Dad -- gave me a safe and loving home and life. I cannot imagine what kind of woman I would have become or if I would have even reached womanhood if I was not adopted.”
So this year, Room for One More is honored to be celebrating with Nikki and paying it forward to give homes to orphan children, and children to forever loving families and homes. Please join us to celebrate! |
